Depending on your glow goals, rinse times will vary. Your spray tan artist will consult with you on your perfect rinse time based on your desired result. Rinse times range from 1 hour to 8-10 hours depending on your tan choice and end goal.
Your AfterGlow artist arrives right on schedule and takes about 10–15 minutes to set up a spray tent and mobile kit—typically in an open space like a bathroom, basement, or living room. After a brief consultation to understand your tanning goals, they’ll spray you inside the tent to prevent any overspray in your home. The application takes about 5 minutes, followed by aftercare instructions, a quick cleanup, and you’re all set. Mobile appointments usually last around 30 minutes for one person, with an extra 10–15 minutes for each additional guest.
Topical spray tanning is generally considered low-risk during pregnancy and lactation, as the active ingredient (DHA) interacts only with the outermost layer of the skin and is not significantly absorbed systemically. However, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider prior to treatment to ensure it aligns with your individual health needs. All AfterGlow spray tan solutions are free from common allergens and irritants—formulated without gluten, parabens, sulfates, nuts, triclosan, or phthalates. For breastfeeding clients, we advise excluding the chest area from spray tan application to avoid product transfer to your baby.
Permanent jewelry is a custom-fitted chain (typically a bracelet, anklet, ring, hand chain, or necklace) that’s welded closed using a micro-welding machine, creating a seamless, clasp-free piece. While it is called “permanent,” it’s not attached to your skin or body in any way. The chain simply rests on your body like regular jewelry, but is secured by fusing the ends of the chains together. The process is quick, safe, and painless and is performed by a trained professional on our team. It’s a popular way to celebrate personal style, relationships, or milestones with a piece that stays with you until you choose to remove it. If needed, it can be snipped off with scissors and re-welded later.
Like all jewelry pieces, it is important to properly care for your permanent jewelry to keep it in good condition. To care for your permanent jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth or mild soap and water, avoid harsh chemicals and tugging, and keep it away from lotions and perfumes to preserve its shine and durability.
AfterGlow Permanent Jewelry is crafted from 14K gold-filled and sterling silver chains, both of which are tarnish-resistant with proper care. While our gold-filled pieces aren’t solid gold, they feature a thick layer of 14K gold pressure-bonded to a durable base metal, making them far more resilient than gold-plated or gold vermeil alternatives. Gold-filled jewelry offers the look and longevity of solid gold at a more accessible price point, making it ideal for everyday wear. Sterling silver may naturally dull or discolor over time, but regular cleaning and gentle care will keep your piece looking radiant for years to come
To remove your permanent jewelry, you can use kitchen shears to cut at the jump ring where your piece was welded together. If you’d like to put your jewelry back on, visit us in studio and get your piece re-welded on for a $15 re-welding fee.
Yes, our permanent jewelry is made from non-ferrous metals like 14k gold-filled and sterling silver, which are typically safe for airport security and most medical screenings. It usually won’t trigger metal detectors or interfere with routine procedures. However, for certain tests such as MRIs and surgical procedures, removal may be required. If needed, we offer rewelding services to ensure your piece can be put back on
